Go Downtown Kenosha and the Downtown Kenosha Cleanup

Sallese & Company is a proud part of downtown Kenosha’s Lakeshore Business Improvement District (LBID), the group behind Go Downtown Kenosha. Our founder, Chelsea Sallese, serves on the LBID board, and the monthly downtown cleanup is the cause she’s most passionate about.

What is Go Downtown Kenosha?

Go Downtown Kenosha is the name the Kenosha Lakeshore Business Improvement District (LBID) uses for its official activities and promotions. The City of Kenosha created the district in 1986 so downtown businesses could develop, manage and promote downtown together.

Its mission is to create a livable, vibrant downtown that’s sensitive to Kenosha’s historic roots. Go Downtown Kenosha runs the downtown events calendar, a business directory and the Go Downtown Kenosha Magazine, and works with the City to beautify the district.

Why it matters to us

Community over competition

That’s our motto, and the downtown cleanup is where it shows up best. A clean, welcoming downtown helps every small business on the block and every neighbor who walks it.

Chelsea brings that energy to her seat on the LBID board, and Sallese & Co. has hosted the cleanup at our salon at 709 56th St.
