Where is Sallese & Company located?
Sallese & Company is at 709 56th St, Kenosha, WI 53140, in downtown Kenosha. Call us at (262) 371-3268.
Where do I park?
There’s street parking right in front of Sallese & Company on 56th Street, and a parking garage directly next door to the salon.
What are your hours?
Monday 11 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday 11 AM to 8 PM, and Thursday through Saturday 9 AM to 2 PM. We’re closed Wednesday and Sunday. Online booking is open any time.
Do you have a boutique?
Yes. Our boutique of curated fashion and the products our stylists recommend is inside the salon. Silk Society members get 10% off retail.
Is Sallese & Company a green salon?
Yes. Sallese & Company is a green salon committed to sustainable processes and products, and our blowout rituals use organic, botanical and clean-beauty treatments. We also carry luxury organic Davines hair care. Founder Chelsea Sallese also serves on the board of the Kenosha Lakeshore Business Improvement District (LBID), also known as Go Downtown Kenosha.
Do you sell Sallese & Co. merch?
Yes. Sallese & Co. sweatshirts, a hoodie, tees and tanks, including a Book Club collection, are sold through our online merch store for $21 to $45.
Does Sallese & Company have a book club?
Yes. The salon hosts the Sallese & Co. Book Club, which meets one Sunday a month at 12 noon. To join, request to join the Book Club group on Facebook. Book Club apparel is sold in our merch store.
Services & prices
What services does Sallese & Company offer?
Balayage, full and partial highlights, root touch ups, glazes, vivid color and corrective color; haircuts, clipper cuts, kids cuts and beard trims; conditioning and dry scalp treatments and custom perms; hand-tied extensions; botanical blowouts; special occasion updos, styling and makeup; facial waxing and tinsel.
How much does a haircut cost?
Haircuts start at $30. A haircut, shampoo and style for medium to long hair starts at $55, clipper cuts start at $30, bang trims start at $15, haircut and beard trim is $40, and kids cuts for ages 12 and under are $20.
How much do highlights and balayage cost?
A Partial Highlight is $185 and a full Highlight Package starts at $235. The Balayage Package is priced per client. Each includes a cut and conditioning treatment, and a $50 deposit holds your appointment.
Do prices vary by stylist?
Yes. Prices can vary by stylist. When you book online and choose your stylist, you’ll see their price before you confirm.
How do hand-tied extensions work?
Start with a free consultation, where your hair is ordered and purchased. Installation is $350, takes about four hours, and is held with a $100 deposit.
Do you do hair and makeup for special occasions?
Yes. Special occasion updos start at $95, special occasion styling is $100, and makeup application is $75. Updos and styling are held with a $50 deposit, and makeup deposits start from $20.
Do you have a bridal suite?
Yes. Sallese & Company has a bridal suite, a room inside our salon at 709 56th St in downtown Kenosha that brides can rent to get ready with their bridal party on the wedding day. It fits up to 15 people comfortably and rents for $250 for the first 4 hours, then $50 for each additional hour. Call (262) 371-3268 to check your date.
Do your stylists travel for weddings?
Yes. Our stylists travel for weddings, and travel is $1 per mile from the salon. Destination weddings are quoted after a consultation. Share your date and location, and we’ll plan hair and makeup for you and your bridal party.
Do you do hair and makeup for theater?
Yes. Founder Chelsea Sallese has done hair and makeup for many theater productions, including Little Shop of Horrors, Willy Wonka, A Streetcar Named Desire and Annie, as well as several operas in Milwaukee and Chicago.
Do you offer braid classes?
Yes. Chelsea Sallese leads hands-on braid classes where each guest practices on her own mannequin head with step-by-step help. Follow @salleseandco on Instagram to hear about the next one.
Do you cut kids’ hair?
Yes. Kids cuts for ages 12 and under are $20 and include a style.
Booking & policies
How do I book an appointment?
Book online any time through our booking site, or call (262) 371-3268. Online, you choose your service and your stylist.
Do you take walk-ins?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome at Sallese & Company, 709 56th St in downtown Kenosha, during our open hours. To reserve a time with a specific stylist, book online any time or call (262) 371-3268.
Can I book with a specific stylist?
Yes. Pick your stylist when you book online, or use the Book button on their profile on our Team page.
Do I need a deposit to book?
Many services are held with a deposit when you book, from $25 to $100 depending on the service. Consultations, haircuts and treatments don’t need one.
What is your cancellation policy?
We charge a 30% cancellation fee for any “no call, no show” or cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment. We understand that emergencies happen, so please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes. A consultation is free and takes 30 minutes. It’s a brief discussion about your desired color, cut, or extension method, and it’s required before hand-tied extensions and custom perms.
Memberships & payment
What is the Silk Society?
The Silk Society is our blowout membership. For $100 a month you get three Botanical Silk Ritual Blowouts, priority booking, member pricing on upgrades and 10% off retail.
I have a package or membership. How do I book?
Book as usual. Your package credits and membership benefits apply automatically at checkout.
Can I pay over time?
Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000. Get approved before your appointment.
